Let me ask you a quick question:

If you could get 30% of your customers to take an addition offer when purchasing — adding an extra $15,900/month to your bottom line — just by turning on an app, would you want to know how?

So in this post, I’m going to show you how Yev Marusenko installed OneClickUpsell and started seeing a 30% upsell conversion rate almost instantly.

Seattle-based Heroclip’s flagship product is an awesome carabiner-like clip.

They had their origins online, but after massively successful Kickstarter and Indiegogo campaigns, Founder & CEO Mina Yoo rolled out her product to brick-and-mortar retail where Heroclip found a passionate market.

But based on the success of her crowdfunding campaigns, Mina knew she needed a stronger online presence and someone to help her scale…

So she brought in DigitalMarketer’s Yev Marusenko .

At this point Heroclip was mainly relying on word of mouth, so Yev set out to overhaul the site, scale paid media spend, and increase both revenue and the number of sales from the online store.

After optimizing the site to increase conversions, and dialing in their ad targeting and creative (increasing monthly page views from 5,000 to over 100,000!)…

Yev wanted to focus on increasing the average order value per customer.

He’d been following Zipify CEO Ezra Firestone for some time, and decided the smartest thing to do was to model what Ezra was doing — maximizing order value with one click, post-purchase upsells.

So Yev installed OneClickUpsell, Zipify’s post-purchase upsell tool for Shopify stores.

OCU allows you to easily offer additional products after someone buys, which they can accept with just one click without re-entering their payment info.

Once Heroclip installed OCU, they wanted it up and running fast. So they simply set up an upsell that offered more of the same product the customer just bought, and did minimal customization to the upsell landing pages… Then turned it on.

“In a matter of hours…” says Yev, “everything was set up and live…”

Even with minimal effort, they immediately saw a 30% conversion rate on their upsell offer.

“I was surprised on day 1 that it worked right away but since then the upsell has maintained a 25-35% conversion rate,” says Yev.

This simple upsell offer added $15,900 to Heroclip’s bottom line. After seeing success with his first upsell, Yev began experimenting with another upsell and a downsell to complete his post-purchase funnel.

Now they’re seeing a 30% take rate for upsell 1, a 6% take rate for upsell two, and a 13% take rate for the downsell…

And Yev is excited to try new upsell offers when Heroclip launches their new product line in a few months.
