A thank you page offer gives you one more opportunity to encourage your customers to buy when they’re already in the buying mood.
This new feature is a breeze to set up, and it’s yet another way you can increase your average order value using OneClickUpsell.
Let me show you how it works.
How Thank You Page Upsells Work
The Thank You Page Upsell shows up on the customer’s Order Details page after they’ve completed their order.
The offer is visible on this page for up to 60 minutes after the initial order is complete.
The customer can also access this page from the Order Confirmation Email sent by Shopify. (Customers often revisit this page to check their order status, shipping details and other order information, making it a great location to include an additional offer.)
Payment: Upon accepting the Thank You Page Upsell offer, the customer will be required to pay through the Shopify Checkout. The benefit here is that the customer is not limited to a specific payment method, and can complete their order using any payment method you’ve connected to your store.
Now, let’s look at how to set up a Thank You Page Upsell inside of OCU.
How to Set Up Thank You Page Upsells
Inside the Upsell Funnel, you’ll see the option to add a Thank You Page offer at the very bottom.
Click to choose a product and then edit the offer.
The Offer Editor is similar to what you’re familiar with, with a few differences:
- If the upsell offer is the same product the customer bought in their initial order, the Thank You Page Upsell will not be shown.
- You have the option to hide the offer if any post-purchase upsell offers have already been shown. This is useful if you want to use the Thank You Page Upsell only when the customer hasn’t seen a post-purchase offer yet, like when the initial order is paid for using an unsupported payment method.
- When configuring a discount, keep in mind that the discount used on the initial checkout will apply to this offer as well.
- Additional shipping is not charged for these offers, so you won’t see a setting to add shipping in the editor.
Use the preview window to see how the offer will look on both desktop and mobile devices.
