AfterSell prices its plans on your store’s total monthly orders and sells cart and post-purchase offers on separate plans. So its bill can climb in a month when upsells don’t. Black Friday-Cyber Monday shows how fast that happens: Shopify merchants’ sales rose 27% over BFCM 2025, and more than 94,900 merchants had their best sales day ever, according to Shopify’s BFCM 2025 results.
As of October 25, 2026, AfterSell’s Shopify App Store listing says the app isn’t currently available, so new stores can’t install it.
I compared five alternatives, OneClickUpsell (OCU), ReConvert (now Upsell.com), Rebuy, Wiser and Selleasy, on what the bill follows, which placements share one plan and how A/B testing is sold. Every price comes from the vendor’s own pricing page, listing or help docs.
AfterSell Alternatives Worth Considering
Most of these apps bill on store orders in some form. Only OneClickUpsell bills on upsell revenue alone, and ReConvert counts whichever of the two puts you in a higher tier (a bit tricky story).

What Is AfterSell, And Why Do Merchants Switch?

AfterSell is a Shopify upsell app that Rokt agreed to acquire in January 2024, according to Digital Commerce 360. It runs one-click post-purchase offers, thank-you page offers and, on Shopify Plus, checkout upsells, and it now includes a cart drawer. The reasons merchants give for leaving mostly come back to billing and packaging.
The bill follows store orders
Orders from ads, email and returning customers all count toward the tier. In an April 2026 App Store review, one merchant said they were charged $149.99 after their store grew, while AfterSell brought in less than in the period before: “I’m paying more for worse performance.”
Cart and post-purchase offers sit on different plans
Post-Purchase covers post-purchase, thank-you page and Plus checkout offers. Cart and product page offers are on Pre-Purchase. Running both takes Complete, from $79.99 a month.
Post-purchase-only funnels leave revenue behind
In the same Zipify audit, stores with two or more placements earned 2.5x the upsell revenue of post-purchase-only stores, and stores with three or more earned 3.6x. Pre-purchase placements converted 57% better than post-purchase ones.
How I Chose These Apps
I started with the apps merchants most often compare with AfterSell: Shopify apps that run one-click post-purchase offers plus at least one placement before checkout. Then I went through each one’s pricing page, App Store listing and help docs, and compared:
- Billing basis. Store orders, upsell revenue, or packages.
- Placements per plan. Which offers share one plan and which cost extra.
- Testing and offer logic. How A/B tests are sold and how products are picked.
1. OneClickUpsell — Every Placement on One Plan, Billed on Upsell Revenue

OneClickUpsell (OCU) by Zipify runs upsells from the product page to the thank-you page in one app. It’s used by 50,000+ Shopify stores and has tracked $1.5B+ in upsell revenue. Only revenue from accepted OCU offers counts toward the bill, so a spike in regular orders doesn’t move it.
Key features
- Product page offers, pre-purchase pop-ups and a Slide Cart Drawer that has helped merchants grow AOV by 20%;
- One-click post-purchase upsells and downsells, thank-you page offers, and in-checkout offers on Shopify Plus;
- A/B split testing at every placement, on every plan;
- AI Personalized Funnels, plus an AI Assistant that reads your store data and recommends what to fix next (it never changes anything on its own);
- PostProfit, which places brand-safe ads on the thank-you page and pays out via PayPal to offset the bill.

ReConvert, now branded Upsell.com, has been on the Shopify App Store since September 2018. It runs offers from the product page to the thank-you page, including one-click post-purchase funnels. Its listing names an easy switch from AfterSell, and the app also runs on Wix.

Cons

- Some listed features cost extra (Wittworkshop)
5. Selleasy — Product Page Add-Ons at a Flat Price Past 50 Orders

Selleasy by Logbase is a low-cost app for product page add-ons, bundles and one-click post-purchase offers. On October 13, 2026, Logbase said in an incident statement that a planned cyber-attack injected a script into some stores, which redirected shoppers to a phishing page, and Roman Zipp’s write-up of the Shopify checkout hijack lists Selleasy among several affected apps. Logbase says it found no backend data breach and fixed the cause, but the listing was still closed to new installs on October 25, 2026.
Key features
- Frequently bought together bundles and add-ons on the product page;
- Cart pop-up add-ons, plus upsell and downsell funnels;
- One-click post-purchase offers on every Shopify plan;
- Related products from Shopify AI and add-ons from Selleasy’s own AI;
- Support over chat, email and Zoom.
Pricing
Selleasy is free while your store stays under 50 orders a month. Once you pass that, you choose a flat monthly plan: Starter for $15, Pro for $49 (adds checkout upsells for Shopify Plus stores) or Max for $99 (adds a rules engine). Every paid plan comes with a 30-day free trial, and Selleasy takes no share of your upsell revenue.
Pros
- One flat fee once you pass 50 orders
- Setup calls are easy to book (Wooof.co.uk)
- £20k+ in upsells in under a year (WBC)
- Costs far less than pricier upsell apps (Jesusdoll.com)
Cons
- Shoppers could add more than one free gift (Wood Workers Workshop)
- Bundle prices didn’t update when shoppers changed size (The Jaipur Wala)
- Installing pushed one store into a trial instead of the free plan (Shark Sports)
Which AfterSell Alternative Should You Choose?
Start from the problem that made you look for an alternative.
- If your bill jumps in busy months: Pick an app whose bill ignores regular orders. OneClickUpsell is the only app here billed on upsell revenue alone. ReConvert counts upsell revenue too, but store orders set the tier when they’re higher.
- If you’re under 50 orders a month: ReConvert, Wiser and Selleasy all have free plans at that size. OCU starts at $9.95 after its 30-day trial, with every placement included.
- If you want every placement on one plan: OCU and ReConvert both put product page, cart, post-purchase and thank-you page offers on every plan. On AfterSell and Rebuy, cart and post-purchase offers are sold separately.
- If you also sell on Wix: Upsell.com (ReConvert) is the only app here with a Wix version.
- If you’re on Shopify Plus: Every app here needs Plus for in-checkout offers. OCU includes them on every tier, and Zipify Plus has Zipify’s team build and test your funnels for a flat monthly fee. Most brands that join see around 30x ROI, and Cheech & Chong made $90,000+ in 7 weeks after moving from Rebuy.

The Bottom Line
For most Shopify stores leaving AfterSell, I recommend OneClickUpsell. It puts every placement on one plan from $9.95 a month, and its bill follows the upsell revenue it brings in, so a busy month of regular orders won’t move it.
FAQs
What is the best AfterSell alternative?
For most Shopify stores, OneClickUpsell. It covers every placement on one plan from $9.95 a month and bills on upsell revenue, not store orders. Stores under 50 orders a month can start free on ReConvert, Wiser or Selleasy.
Is AfterSell available on the Shopify App Store?
Not for new installs. As of October 25, 2026, its listing says the app isn’t currently available on the Shopify App Store. Stores that already run it can contact Rokt for support.
How much does AfterSell cost?
Post-Purchase starts at $34.99 a month, Pre-Purchase at $59.99 and Complete at $79.99, plus 5, 3 or 7 cents per order above the included orders. The plans are capped at $999.99, $599.99 and $1,359.99 a month.
What’s the difference between Rebuy and AfterSell?
They’re built for different jobs. Rebuy is a personalization platform sold as four packages, covering search, cart, checkout and post-purchase. AfterSell centers on post-purchase and thank-you page offers, with its cart on a separate plan. Both bill on total store orders, so compare them at your busiest month’s order count.
