AI and ML Processing
This Artificial Intelligence Use Policy (“AI Policy”) governs how Zipify, LLC doing business as Zipify Apps (“Zipify,” “we” or “our”) processes and uses certain store data from our Shopify merchants (“you,” “your” or “Merchant(s)”) for the purpose of providing enhanced services leveraging artificial intelligence (“AI”) / machine learning (“ML” and together with AI, the “AI-enabled features”). This AI Policy forms a part of and is in addition to our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, store, and protect information. This AI Policy further explains our use of Merchant Data (as defined below) in connection with our data and intelligence applications and is subject to change upon notice. It is the intent of this AI Policy to comply with the Shopify Partner Program Agreement and API License & Terms of Use, as those terms and conditions are updated by Shopify from time to time.
Consent to AI-enabled Features; Opt-out
By installing or enabling these AI-enabled features, you acknowledge, affirmatively agree and consent to the use of your Merchant Data as provided in this AI Policy and our Privacy Policy. You may disable or opt-out of AI-enabled features at any time within the settings.
Use of Merchant Data
We use AI-enabled features and technologies to analyze certain store data (“Merchant Data”) to generate insights and recommendations, provide analytics, automation and/or other AI-enabled features such as:

Contextual Recommendations: Generating real-time product suggestions based on a specific customer’s current session;

Automated Summarization: Processing customer support tickets or product descriptions for summary purposes; and

Operational Insights: Providing store-specific analytics and performance forecasting.
Data Access
We may access and process certain Merchant Data from your Shopify store through the Shopify API, which may include:

Store information and identifiers

Product catalog data

Order or sales metadata

Operational or performance metrics
Merchant Data may include data obtained directly from your Shopify store as derived, anonymized, aggregated or de-identified information generated from such data.
Third Party AI Providers
Merchant Data is used to provide these AI-enabled features and is used to improve our AI/ML services within our hosted environment using authorized third-party providers such as OpenAI and Amazon/AWS (“Third-Party AI Providers”). We transmit certain Merchant Data to our Third-Party AI Providers to generate AI-enabled features and outputs for our use and our Merchant’s use. These Third-Party AI Providers act as service providers and are contractually required to protect Merchant Data. We do not allow our Third-Party AI Providers to use the Merchant Data to train their large language models (“LLM(s)”) or for any use other than providing us with our AI-enabled features and improving such AI-enabled features.
Merchant Data processed by AI-enabled features will only be retained as long as necessary to provide the service or comply with legal obligations.
